Here's the original photo *that I took personally*

http://www.avoturboworld.com/avoshop...lets_all_1.jpg

Now I'm curious to find out who stole the photo and is trying to pass it off as theirs? Because they've taken the time to remove the logo's on the inlets. But certainly did not take the picture nor is the original manufacturer, I have the time stamps and originals to prove it.

Ah, here we go:

http://japanese.alibaba.com/product-...990737398.html

Copied our image off the web, airbrushed the logos, and are trying to pass it off as the product they make.

However, if you go to their thai page:

http://thai.alibaba.com/product-gs-i...928373557.html

You can see a picture of the actual item they make.

I do. Simple as that. And willing to, and can, prove it in a court of law.

It's simple enough, they needed a good picture of some inlets to sell their products, and it's easier to simply go online, google search for images, and find one and use that. In this case, our images.

Then when somebody orders those inlets, with some minimum order of 50 I'm sure, they end up with the *actual* item. No refund! Good luck!

ok i believe you now.

i suggest go get them and tell them about this issue.

i have contacted these guys and they said they were the "supplier" for most companies in the US. so yeah you might want to pursue them about your images

AVOturboworld 08-21-2013 04:14 PM

Definitely will, especially on a number of things. They are selling 3-ply non-reinforced, vs our wire-reinforced 5 ply. And if anybody wonders why we do that, they were not around when 3 ply inlets were slamming shut under boost on turbo subaru's and causing... "issues".

thanks for clarifying the differences. sorry to have put you on a hot spot. my mistake!

so what do you think about these gimmick tubes? 3 ply or 5 ply?

AVOturboworld 08-21-2013 04:20 PM

The manufacturer claims 3-ply on their thai page. Given that that's also the only one that shows an actual image of the inlet pipe, I'd say that's probably the most accurate.

suffelch 08-21-2013 04:46 PM

Sorry to stir this issue up. I saw an old vendor selling just the tube, not the noise generator connection for 80 dollars. But thank you for bringing up the fact that it is probably 3 ply.

LOL  to this whole thread.

Unfortunate company name btw.

it's pretty obvious that the alibaba pics are photoshopped if you zoom in and look close.
