How long you been in the field ? I'm going on my 2nd year about to get my class 3 license

It will be 10 years next month.
I have a grade III. I got to wait one more year before I can go get my level 4 though. California requires you to spend a cretin amount of time at one grade befor you can go to the next. Unless you got a bunch of college.
My dad has a grade V and had been working for about 25 years as an operator. He has worked grave for about 17 years.

I cant do like him.
He can sleep 4 hrs get up for a couple. go get an oil change in his car, go back to sleep for 3 or 4 hrs then get up and go to work. on his days off he completely changes his sleep pattern to be awake during the day. hangs with the family like just like he is having a normal day shift job. takes a 4 hr nap and goes back to work all over again.

Ya I can't do the whole nap before work thing. I ether sleep a full 6-8 in the morning before I go in or just don't sleep at all and suffer. There isn't but so much to do at night. You know how it works :happy0180:

I work teh 24-7 shift as an IT Manager. If the SHTF I get a call no matter where I am even if I'm on a scuba boat on vacation. IT can suck a lot.

I used to work at Safeway over night for about half a year.. 10pm-6am On friday nights to saturday mornings i wouldnt get to sleep because i had class at 8am. Sleeping for a hour ish wasnt worth looking like a zombie in class or even not being able to stay awake. Lol i was glad i got out of it after. But during the time it was alright, felt great to work alone and do your own thing.

I actually have a heated garage at my plant so pretty much everything on my car I installed there, worked out pretty good for me.
