You'd have to do some major modifications as the faux vent attaches to the outer fender skin. The inner skin is solid.

I don't know about anyone else, but my engine bay is much hotter than my previous cars, without hard or prolonged driving.

Fairly sure the air moving under the car creates a low pressure (relatively speaking) zone at the back of the undertray to give the air that passes into the engine bay a passage out.

Feel free to expand your color pallet. The exterior color of the car has zero effect on the operation and function of the engine. If this were true, every race car in the world would be white.

The heat from the sun has next to no impact on anything going on in the engine bay compared to the little device harnessing the power of a series of thousands of controlled explosions to create power

Also, define "holding back"...isn't that right about where the torque dip is? Maybe "step on it" a bit lower down in the revs (or a bit higher)

Thanks for that.

Well, I guess I'm saying that whatever escape the air has, it's not very effective in observation. But I'd like to know if anyone else observes the same thing.

So long as it's not going to impact on any safety feature, is there any reason why you can't just cut underneath?

I can't imagine hacking away at the metal there. You're so close to the strut top mounts, I'd be weary of doing anything near there.

I was hoping it was just a small amount of panel that would require cutting. Not struts... :/

Could be the intake, next time it happens get some logs and send them to your tuner.

How do I do that? It must be the tune because I flashed it back to stock and now the response is much better. It's an ecutek rom

You did not mention that you flashed it back to stock in the original post, just that you reflashed it (I assumed you flashed the same rom back in it)... that changes a few things.. bad gas (and the knock retard that would ensue) seems much more likely to me now. Stock rom starts out with retarded timing and slowly adds it in. You also reset your fuel trims. you may want to give it a few days and see if the symptoms come back on the stock rom.

Either way, you need to get with your tuner and see how they want you to proceed.
