Oh well, thought there was a difference between bike and car helmets.

There is one major difference. Car helmets are designed to be fireproof whereas bike helmets aren't. (Chances are you won't get trapped on your bike if it catches fire).
But for track days etc, just get a bike one, unless you want to compete seriously. If you want a car specific one, be prepared to pay (all fireproof kit costs!) but try

GREAT! Will be nice seeing you at the event again!

Guys, regarding the helmets... unfortunately this year we don't have helmets to lend out as we usually use the go-kart-guys helmets, but they having an event at the Z on the same day.

We will however TRY and have some helmets available for those who don't have...

I will have two of my old quad-racing helmets available...

Looks great, will be my first day on the track ever! bit nervous though !

How "sophisticated" does your helmet need to be?

We'll be in Pretoria this weekend for my daughter's 21st, and I'm hoping to get an hour or two free on Saturday to pop around and say hi. I would have loved to participate, but we won't be there for long.
Anyway, my car's probably still too new to put it on a track already.

I'm especially keen to see the RGM 86's. :w00t:
