Oh yea that'll do it. Luckily they are affordable. Maybe sometime in the future you could re-enter the game.

That's very nice, one of the cars on my list to drive one day.

One day.

They are expensive now.. at least the 87-89s I found on autotrader earlier.

I bought mine with 70,000 miles from the original owner for $900 when I bought it 12 or so years ago.

Oh, well it has been awhile since I've searched for one but I do expect the value to rise some as more and more drivers like Convette emerge and get magazine slots..the exposure is definitely arrousing interest. Well that's nice, I bought mine with 85k. Have you kept in touch with the new owner?

I had a friend in high school was obsessed with those things. He had like 4 in his yard at one time.

Didn't like them much back then but they've grown on me a lot over the past few years

Yeah I disliked them when they came out. I bought the one I bought because it was cheap and 3 cars at the time of purchase obviously wasn't sufficient. I ended up loving that car a lot though, that thing was a BLAST and I remember winning SCCA D Stock locally with it (beating my ITR friends), rallying it (I was the only one who was brave.. or stupid.. enough to use the jumps correctly.. air time is fun damnit!) and just generally having an absolutely fun time driving it.

I look every few months for a cheap one. I'm not willing to pay E36 M3 money for one.. the three on autotrader I looked at last week were all 6k+ IIRC. They aren't worth that to me these days :( (I only look for 87-89s, but would probably only buy a 88-89)

Unfortunately the likeliness of Mitsubishi bringing it back are slim to none. They've gone Eco-friendly.
In my opinion it would be a sound investment because of the return of the rwd sports car like the frs/brz..I know like you I would be fanatic about getting one.

mitsu is basically a corpse at this point...

Back when i did Mitsu parts i had a couple guys that owned 2-3 of these. Its like you can't just have 1, have to pretty much have a parts car too.

Yeah sounds about right aha. StarQuest owners are quite the collectors. If I had the room I'd bring on another. Most likely be built for a track though. I would love an auto x Starion.
