Nah I wore plugs or earphones. I felt like I was inside a fishbowl, but for safety reasons didn't use an open-face helmet.

that pinarello is bullshit. there are way better ways to spend that much money, including cervelo and specialized.

and btw i ride a fixed gear but not nearly as much as my cannondale road and steel touring and cyclocross bikes. most of my bikes are 'real bikes.'

back to the topic at hand though, those tires would only be good for how many laps at this pace? two? he really trusts those tires(and has to) for a few of those high speed sweepers.

Slicks are just retarded sticky. I DD'd pilot races my last year of riding. OMG!!! Were they amazing. Grip was just stupid but the best part was the triangle shaped profile. Took a little extra effort to lean but once you did the bike just fell into place. I probably put 5k on those tires. Had to be patient to get the warm but it was worth it.

I wanted to ride home but the bike was too far gone. Somehow the key broke off but not in the ignition. Still have it today as a reminder. Had full gear and I cam out with a scrapped knee and the realization that I out rode my talent.

Well it's :bs: to spend 13K on any road bike! Honestly, @ 13K, that shit better have a motor! :D

He's riding on R10's which are race d.o.t rubber. WSBK racers are running 26 laps on a set of race rubber. His suspension looks stock but probably setup for this weight and tire and based on his number plate and the other riders pulling to pit makes me think it's a trackday. He probably ran the entire day on that set.

The thing is with slicks is that you have to get them up to temp for them to stick. Too many heat cycles, moisture or not up to temp, they are useless.

I never like Michelin tires! Pirelli and Dunlop with the occassion occasional Bridgestone tire. I ran some Power Races take offs at the track and pulled back into the pits and took them off. The best tire that I've ran were UK spec Dunlop GP's!

Sorry to hear about your crash. The SV's are frankensteins and you can bolt up anything right up! My buddy Deno had that same one and threw on a Gixxer 1k front end and some pilot lights! A Yosh pipe sounds bad ass on them too!

Sometimes, it takes more time for me to get back riding like I used to too. I really hate that kind of thing the most when riding. I felt like I don't want to lower my body when I do the turn at all.

i think it's more relevent that it's an old person that hits him not necessarily a scion. maybe it's cuz scion only sells to old ppl.

I knew what was coming and I still jumped. It may sound lame but Id love to get that 675 and then get matching decals to make it look like a bike out of tron.
