you'd be surprised but those numbers are starting to change, even if the F series is still the best selling vehicle in the country. if gas hits $5/gallon i suspect that might change, too.

Its now rumored that the FR-S might get up to 34 MPG on the highway!

.... what if it's like the 7th... then it's 7 years.. I don't think I want to wait that long.

This is another Scion concept I just don't understand.. they are basically saying "Don't buy the car yet. Wait for the next one. Which will come out if there is enough sales and demand. Errr.. uhmmm.. doh!"

Improving the car year over year is one thing, releasing fancy models every year that are different from the prior years fancy model just doesn't make sense to me.

Zaku 12-12-2011 07:11 PM

Here is what is going to happen.....

"Hey You guys! I just came back from a SCION Dealer the RS FRS SUPER! DUPER! Number 1 edition is panda color and has....Push Start"

PROFIT.

Scion=Wins

/wrist.

Jack Hollis is watching you from his Temple of DOOM laughing..."Freaking Really Sweet!"

2.0 has... Heated seats added...

man they're really out to get us..

nah man they get it. it's scions way of getting around their business model and doing trim levels. the Release series is just a higher trim model that only comes in one badass color.

Adding special versions isn't planned obsolescence. In fact, it is the complete opposite because it keeps an old model viable for a little longer instead of doing a complete redesign sooner.

if this is true i'll be pissed!

MiguelAE86 12-12-2011 08:13 PM

They have GOT to make a "Heritage" Edition!! Perhaps a panda paint-scheme one! and one with Rear lights similar to those of the 2000GT and other cosmetic "heritage" things! THAT WOULD BE AMAZING! :D

+4123 !

madfast 12-12-2011 08:16 PM

this would be an idiotic idea. the GT-R is a legit supercar and it has to stay competitive year after year. but this car? no way. all it would do is alienate the early adopters. instead they should finally offer TRD or Modellista aftermarket parts at a reasonable price. that should be enough to keep things interesting.

as for the Release series cars? unique colors, body kits, wheels, and some interior features not easily added can make those cars unique. but the performance bits? they should be available to everyone at a reasonable price.

NemesisPrime909 12-12-2011 08:19 PM

how many of these things do they want me to buy?

i will say if they offer that tC R.S yellow as a color i may be shit out of luck
