What do you mean off by mph in my speedo? I'll be slower than the speedo? So what can you suggest w/o anything being recalibrated?

you'll just be going faster than what the actual speedometer says

just try for tires that maintains the rolling diameter, but in actuality, 2-3 mph isn't going to be much lol

Your speedometer is also reading fast anyways, that 2-3 mph might actually be making it more accurate, but you can always check your actual speed with a GPS these days and confirm to be safe.

Oh yeah. Saw those info about that. I'll check those out in choosing the tires.

but if you are to be running 9.5 in the rears... you gotta stretch some 235s on there and maybe go 205/215 stretched fronts if you want a tail happy car.

maybe go with a 9.0 rear and 8.0 front to minimalize stretching and still keep the staggered look

I'm not for stretching but if that's what you want

Don't mean to be rude but unless I am missing something that is terrible advice.. A 205 on the front?? On a 8.5? Why would you do that? And how would that make the car tail happy?

You don't stretch for the sake of stretching, stretch because you run wide wheels and need the room. A 205 would look silly on an 8.5 and is not needed. You could easily run 225 or even a 235 on those wheels without clearance.. On rear you could run a 255 or maybe even a 265 without rubbing. Am I missing something?

Why not run the 8.5 +35 all around with a 235/40 or 245/35 tire?

If you do want to run staggered i'd go 225/40 and 255/35 on that size wheel, as long as you don't get something too grippy it should still be ok and if not you can always put a bigger rear sway on it to make it oversteer.

I know he won't rub if he goes wider, but he already bought his rims and doesn't want the same level of grip as me
