I totally agree that a 1inch drop would give a notable aesthetic improvement. Problem is that I love the ride/handling balance right now. I worry that lowering it would tilt that balance and make me hate the ride. I've owned many cars, and EVERY time I lowered one, I regretted it. And just for disclosure: i've used eibach springs, h&r coilovers, HFE coilovers, bilstein coilovers as just a few examples.. never been happy with the stiff ride on the street

I have Eibach pro-kit on mine, and actually love the way the car rides and handles. I'm a coilovers kind of guy, and usually don't just go with springs, but I didn't want to mess too much w/ the well though out engineering that went into the stock suspension. I def have no regrets with my decision. Try looking into RCE springs as well. The drop is moderate at only .75" but reviews from other members on the boards are that the handling is greatly improved and the ride is not compromised.

That is good to hear. Just put on my eibach pro-kit springs yesterday!!

I too think these wheels with the drop on these springs would look great.

Bronze WedsSport TC105N 17x8/17x9 Staggered

Put my summer set on to give it a fitment try and to snap some pictures. Unfortunately, it's still too cold here in New York to leave them on through the winter, so the Blizzak's on stock wheels are going back on shortly.

Fronts are 17x8 +42 shod with Yokohama S.drive 235/40R17's while the rears are 17x9 +35 with 245/40R17's.

The suspension is still stock, I plan to go with RCE Yellow springs after the winter season's over, for a 20mm drop.

Front is nicely flush for my tastes, the rears poke a bit and make my Toyota mudguards look silly. I guess I'll get rid of the mudguards when I get a front splitter/side skirts/rear spats.

These are the "Titanium Bronze" color I guess. More Titanium than Bronze, in my opinion. Looks great either way.

Thanks to Mark over at RavSpec for the great service!

I'm really happy with these wheels, I just wish there was a delivered solution for having a center cap in conjunction with the hubcentric ring.

I'm thinking of having some C&C shop just fabricate me some new aluminum rings that also double-duty as caps. Anyone see any flaws in that logic? Any other options to consider? Hell, I could probably attach some kind of disc on top of the ring.

Skurj 01-08-2013 02:58 PM

Only downside is when the ring gets stuck/seized to the hub and you take the wheel off and the cap/ring is left behind.

I ended up buying the 2" Knockout Seals that Home Depot sells in its electrical section. There are a few DIY posts out there on various car forums talking about how people have used them as cheap centercaps. I did a test fit and it looks like it'll fit with the hubcentric ring in. I'll plasti-dip it black and take some pictures this weekend.
