Track: MSR Houston (CCW)
Car: FR-S Mods: 5-W30 Pennzoil Ultra oil and 17x8 +36mm offset Kosei K4R wheels with 215/45-17 Kumho XS tires. Notes/Comments: Driving only about 90ish % due to this is my DD and occasional track car a few times a year and the brake system was stock everything. Last session of an open track getting back into the swing of things (been a while since I was last on track) and I forgot to turn off the nannies...arrrrRRGG! At least I know how Sport Mode is (turned it on once realized that I forgot to press the button to turn everything off) on track with high grip tires...it sucks! At least it was a hard lesson that will make sure the nannies are turned off before entering the track from now on! I have one from SoW CCW but haven't done anything with it either.

Dave, what was your main driving force behind the trip to Mid-Ohio or Ohio in general? As you said, that's a good distance. Did you make the drive in the brz or did you trailer the car up? Sorry for all of the questions. I have a list of things that this car will do/see so I'm rather interested to hear how others have done.
Too many tracks, so little time and money. :) |

I drove it, didn't trailer it. |
You had me at Great Lakes Brewing. lol That sounds like a great trip. If you find yourself up this way again, shoot me a message. As for track days at Mid-Ohio, if there are any others that pop up here that you know about then make sure to post them up in the Great Lakes section. There's a few of us that would sure like to hear about them.

Track: Pacific Raceways (Seattle WA)
Car: ITA Prepped Honda CRX Mods: .040 D16a6, I/H/E, Tune, FD, LSD, brake ducts, R-Comps, Koni Dlb Adj/GC's, really good looking driver (my favorite mod of course) ;) Notes/Comments: During this lap I reset the track record for ITA but then the car behind me reset it again. In Sept of 2012 it was reset AGAIN be another 4 tenths. Next year 2 corners should have new pavement so we're both expecting to reset it again in 2013. BTW: the braking into the inside line is because he's right behind me and I'm maintaining a defensive line and this is during a race. Track: The Ridge Motorsports Park Shelton WA
Car: ITA Prepped Honda CRX Mods: .040 D16a6, I/H/E, Tune, FD, LSD, brake ducts, R-Comps, Koni Dlb Adj/GC's, really good looking driver (my favorite mod of course) ;) Notes/Comments: During a test day with the racing school we were there with our race cars to get a feel for the newly paved surface. In this video I do a 2:02. During the ITA race weekend my best time is a 1:58.9 and I do currently hold the track ITA track record there for our Conference (by half a tenth!). This the track I instruct at and it's a hoot in an FRS but unfortunately I don't have video. Track: Button Willow Raceway Park Config #27 (Full West Loop)
Car: Scion FR-S Mods: None Notes: First event for this car since owning it. Stock front tires chunked pretty bad on the outside edge, stock brake pads not so good, and the brake fluid boiled. That is pretty crazy. If you haven't already, make sure to stop into Grove Street and have a local beer. That is if they are still open, since evidently much has changed since I left. |
