with that said.. ive had one close call.. i was cruising on the bike and came up to a twisty part, thought the hell with it and opened it up.. i get off at my exit, listening to my music and i just happened to check my mirror and see lights and a grill right on me.. scared the crap out of me.. i pull over and put my hands up in sight after i turn off the bike.. he is talking to me and i told him i cant hear i have head phones on.. against the law BTW lol.. i ask him if i can take unplug my headphones and he nods.. then when i can hear him asked me wtf was i doing.. that he was right beside me when i took off.. i never seen him. only a truck beside me for miles.. he asks for my license and reg and stuff.. i reach for my wallet then it hit me.. i swapped my pants when i decided to take the bike.. i was doing 110 in a 70 and he thought running from him.. he pats me down checks my reg and insurance, and tells me "your lucky i have somewhere to be, i know what your bike looks like and what your jacket and helmet look like. I see you doing a mile over ill pull you and throw everything i can at you.. have a good day" jumps in his car and drove off.. leaving me there with my mouth wide open.. i dont think i went a mile over for days scared he might pull up behind me.. |
Lol. Reminds of a time on my bike I just got out of a huge set of long sweeping twisties. It was night. I was doing about 120 and coasted in gear as I knew cops patrolled that area. I was down to about 90 when a I saw a set of lights in the way off distance in the bushes on the right hand side of the road, facing my direction just waiting to snag speeders. That cop was not cool. But I'm glad he got me going 90 which he knocked down for me instead of doing 120 and arresting me.

To this day I've never gotten a cool cop. I still remember my ticket for 44 in a 40; netted me two points on my license. Guy pulled me over, said I was doing 44 in a 30. I went back and took pictures and still got the ticket.
I also just recently got a crazy ticket for doing 95 in a 50 (which by the way I wasn't doing ANYTHING close to that). Cop never hit me with his radar and said he "visually clocked me" from his moving patrol car (that was driving in the same direction so he'd have had to be staring directly behind him) from 500 feet away. What kind of superhero nonsense is that? And it stuck in court, I didn't get a lawyer because I thought seeing as though it was so outrageous, the evidence I brought (not to mention the specs to show my car isn't even capable of getting up to 95 in that time/distance now that it's back to stock) would destroy his claims..... it didn't. $2450 later I'm working with an appeals lawyer to save my license -_-... |
I have too many cop stories when I had my Integra which were b/s.
But last month, I had the best cop experience in my life!  I took a random Tuesday off from work to do some maint on my Soup (transmission and rear diff oil change). After I finished, I drive my Tacoma to get some messican food; carne asada chips since I'm starving and the better Mex place is about 15 miles away. So I get on the I-5 freeway and I have a habit of texting while driving... About 5 mins of driving, I get lit up! I think to myself, WTF did I get rolled for!?! So I pull under an overpass and park. The CHP is walking up to my passenger side window so I roll it down. CHP: "You know why I pulled you over..." Me:"Sorry officer, I have no clue why!?!" CHP: "The reason why I pulled you over is b/c I saw you texting! I was pacing you as soon as you got onto the freeway and you kept looking at your phone!?" Me: "I apologize, I was going through my playlist..." CHP: "Let me see your driver's license, insurance and registration please..." Me: "I hand it to him and then when he reads my license, I see him start to smirk..." CHP: "Oh shit, what's up Arnold!!" <--my name Me: ##Sort of in shock "Uhh heeeeeyyy, whats up dude!?!" CHP: "How's your sister doing?!? how's her daughter... how's the family doing?!" Me: "I knew I recoginized you from somewhere, that's cool you know my sister... she's doing well!" CHP: "dude, you gotta stop driving and texting! I'm telling as you as homie, it's not worth it. Now get the fuck out of here" and laughs. He continued to talk about friends, family, how well the CHP pays, don't ever mention that he's a CHP on FB, how he gets to drive fast legally and then he handed me back my info and took off! |

I see his updates and pictures but had absolutey no clue that he was an actual California Highway Patrol since he said he's not supposed to disclose his law enforcement on any social network. That was definitely a cool cop story and a serious wake up call for me. :happy0180: I still kind of txt while driving but not as much. :bonk: |

Was pulled over for the first time ever this weekend in my 86. Was sitting at a red light turning lane decided since traffic was low and clear I'd have a bit of dumb fun so high rev'd left arrow turned green and I hit it swung the tail out into the intersection caught 2nd and traction and took off down the street. Almost instantly red and blue lights in my rear view so I pull over in a nice spot where my car and the cop would be clear. Now let me now say that I know this was a really unsafe and stupid decision to make because I just finished closing out a $63.00 bar tab by myself and was on my way to another bar...ok. Had my insurance and DL ready hazards on greeted the fuzz and first thing he says was "man you got cool ride". Then "why the hell did you do that"? I tried to reply but had the slurs and thought I was a goner. Apologized answered his question as to why I did it, where I was and where I was going. He said hold on and not to move and I was shitting my nice FR-S seat..not really. So at this time I start to hide my gun case that I keep close at all times with my jacket just to avoid any more trouble and at this point I realize that the second cop was standing at my passenger side window the whole time. I look up at him and say hello and his response was "this is a nice looking car". I thanked him and turned off my dome light. First cop comes back and asks how many drinks have I had and I lie and say two then say four. As he is handing my info back to me he says "you know what Andrew"? "you have a great driving record and a nice car". "Please do not do that again at a intersection". Have a nice night. WTF!

One time, after i dropped my GF off at home, i wanted to get home because it was so late at night. was going like 50-60 in a 35 and ran a stop sign. Next thing i know, i see a car turn really quick behind me. so i stop correctly and everything. cop pulls me over at the next sign and says why i was going so fast and he was about to come out with gun drawn because he thought i was a criminal. 5 min later, he gave me back my info and said have a nice night. cool cop =D

Speeding I can tolerate but I personally think ALL drunk drivers should be put in jail for a minimum of 1 year for their first offense. |
