Thats usb, lightning is at the other end of the cable. I think the third party is still unable to copy apples technology, but belkin has paid apple for the rights :( im still waiting for cheap ebay lightning cables that are >2.8ft long... Why are they so short?!

Ok, but the new cables work with all my old accessories(Power Bricks and car chargers) soooo.......yeah.

Just that if you have an old USB charger, like the one illustrated, that is just the plug with a USB slot, then the cable that comes with the device renders the Belkin product pointless. Even if you have to buy a cable, it's still $10 cheaper($19 vs $29). Just pointing it out. I just saw something on Gizmodo that Griffin is putting out products as well.

If you've got a long enough USB cable, you can also plug a USB car adapter into the glove box and wire up from there.

Something like this:
