Before I even got to the part you leaving the bags by the door I was thinking the same thing as you. Except I was thinking you would put the bags next to the car door until you could unlock it haha! First thing I do when I get up in the morning and get ready is, wallet and keys in pocket. Then again I am somewhat of an early bird and enjoy being up in the morning.

While on the subject of the Limited's key fob, has anyone opened one up? I wanted to take the battery out of the spare one and save it (my understanding is that since these fobs are always transmitting a signal, even when not in use, the battery last only 1-2 years)

Anyway, opened it up as directed in the manual and no battery! Not in the place shown in the picture in the manual, and none seen at all! What gives?

Great idea for finding the key. I am glad it saved you from hunting through all the bags.

I am sure all of us sneaked a peek at our keys when we read the OG post. ;)

Weird... Haven't open this style yet, but usually behind the chip.

I would've panic and probably think about opening at least one bag....lol...

Toyota keys cost more than some, smh... Definitely more than Nissan fobs. But lucky us! We have Toyota keys! Yay! Lol

We did a Porsche at my shop, holy shit. Depending on model, we had to get whole new module and lock smiths don't have the programming for it. Off to the dealer! We were somewhat lucky since the blade was still good so they gave us the base with buttons to replace...still expensive.
