I love love love those wheels and the look of the drop. However, how much has the handling suffered at that ride height? What are your driving impressions? Thanks!

Tires would look better with a 235, but I like the overall look you've got.

I don't know . . Love the rims, love the satin white . .. I just can't understand this drop or any drop in general.

The OEM is already so low that another inch creates unnecessary clearance issues with so many driveways, low-lying obstructions, potholes, uneven roads, etc. etc.

I haven't had any problems with driveways, potholes, speedbumps, etc. as well as no fender rubbing. I feel this is a very daily driver friendly setup, but I was used to driving a WRX that was quite lower than this so results may vary.

I saw your car at FNL over the weekend! Looks so good! I had the Red FRS with Toyota Badges by the JDMC tent.

I remember seeing it, I was hoping to meet the ft86 members there but it was too big of a meet and everyone left from the rain.

I don't believe handling and ride suffered much at all, but I haven't pushed it 10/10ths on this setup. I originally had a 1" drop for about a week then went down another inch and it feels about the same. Turn in and feel is sharper than stock and the ride is about the same.

I bought the wheels used and they came with the tires, after seeing how much room I have I would like to go with a wider tire in the future.

Looks great!

Do you have any photos straight from the front? I would like to see how much the 9 inch wides poke out of the front fenders, if at all.

TouchMyHonda 10-05-2012 10:18 AM

Hey op, does the rim of the 9 inch wide + 45 offset come close to the inside of the suspension or inner fender wall?

Is there any way we could get some pics? Big time thanks in advanced.

I actually do have a full frontal. This should work.

The wheels barely cleared the stock front struts. I didn't have any problems but if you're putting a wide tire you might need spacers. I don't have any pics as I'm on coilovers now and there is plenty of clearance all around.

I would say a few mm's at most, might have to get a small spacer just in case.

I don't like spacers, They'll fit or I will put 8s on the front, maybe should have ordered them...

I'm Planning to get this with exact set up of 18x9+45 with Advan Neova AD08 235/45r18. You said it barely cleared the struts, was this because you have a coil-over 2" lower than stock? If I have a coil-over which lowers the car by 1-1.5" will it hove more space or still the same?

No it was because he was on stock suspension. He said he has plenty of clearence with his coilovers.

Yea, you will be fine with 235's and coilovers. The only concern was with stock struts.
