That be true - I was just asking for Bubba, who works on my cars.

Last year I picked up the ATEQ Quickset TPMS ECU Reset Tool on Amazon (currently unavailable) open box for less than $50.

This tool can store two sets of codes for easy summer/winter tire swaps. Also can be used to upload sensor data to PC for rearranging after tire rotation (my Android HU displays pressure at each corner) or to enter replacement sensor details.

Thanks for the information -

I didn't realize such a tool existed - :iono:

Maybe I'll just go with the ol blsfrs solution and just place a piece of electrical tape over the light.

Then go with the ol Ultramaroon plan and pay attention to feel if the car is pulling to one side or a tire is going wap-wap-wap.

Bubba needs a doohickey that can interrogate each of the sensors individually. That way he can find the dead one.
ATEQ Quickset TPMS ECU Reset Tool can't do that. He needs something more like this thing.

I put aftermarket wheels with out sensors on my car the week I got it. The light is always on. I don't even "see" it anymore.

I brought that up to Bubba, but, he says that price exceeds his 10 year budget for tools - :eyebulge:

He is saving up for a new Mexican socket set.

His monkey wrench is about wore out.

Sorry Folks - my bad - :slap: (me)!

I reported that my tire pressure light would not go off.

My tire pressure light is now just fine!

I didn't have the pressure hose from my fully electric, illuminated, digital, store bought air pump, connected well enough to one of the tires air filler tube thing - :( and was getting a false reading.

I discovered this when I checked the tire pressures with my mechanical pressure gauge. So, I drug out my hand pump and pumped that tire up to the proper pressure.

(no wonder mrs humfrz won't let me drive or even mess with, her 2024 CRV - :sigh:) It has so many lights that there has to be a computer screen on the dash to hold them all - :iono:

I can picture myself being fooled that way. Struggled with a bike pump that wouldn't push the valve pin. Lost my grip and almost fell over when the pump said "Nope."

Carista app paid version plus BT dongle used to be able to read individual sensors. Still requires trial and error rotation or distancing since car ECU only knows position(s) based on most recent programming.

My Android HU with individual readout, together with ATEQ Quickset TPMS ECU Reset Tool still required rearranging and deflating a couple of times to get a match between indicated and actual.

To be fair, I was young and careless at the time. I only needed to learn that lesson once. Heeding those lessons is what allows us to get old enough to become brittle. :D
