Go to a High Performance Driving School organized by a quality car club [BMW, Porsche, Lotus, et al]. The exposure to proper posture, racing line, and careful instruction will open your eyes to how to approach, enter, apex, and exit corners. You'll also learn good communication among other cars with simple gestures and vehicular "body language". Finally, you'll eventually learn at-the-limit car control, how the car behaves and how to manipulate deliberately. All of this improves your competence behind the wheel.
After that, learning how to heel & toe will help your braking stability and quickness through corners beyond learning the line.
Seat time, seat time, seat time!
