I think it's a waste(I'm not making $125k)...but let this guy do his trickle down economics. That shop will keep a guy employed, who in turn gives his son an allowance, who in turn takes his girlfriend to the movies, who now keeps an extra employee on hand...the cycle continues.

He could just sell the car and buy a BRZ and get all the updates/adjustments the newer year will have and come out not only ahead financially, but have a better and newer vehicle too. Aaaaand, the car will be perfectly painted.

I make more than that and still wouldn't spend the money so foolishly. I just ordered a WRB BRZ. :slap:

I think they forgot to paint the upper half of the side mirror. ;)

Different scenario as that color is not available, whereas the blue is...just on the BRZ instead of the FR-S.

Not worth it. As others have said... Sell and buy another.

well that's definitely not a waste of time and money because it is a custom color.

the color is not available as stock so it's worth it to invest on repainting just to be "different"

Yeah man just get a BRZ. You should have been patient and got one with WRB rather than irrationally snag an FR-S just to have one sooner.

This is why I always recommend waiting for exactly what you want and not compromising on color, brand, transmission, trim because regret really sucks.

You said you have the money to repaint, approx $5k. Trade-in or sell your FR-S and it will cost you much less to hop into a BRZ.

Plus you're going to be a poser with a WRB FR-S.

I waited on my BRZ. I could have had one in the color, trim, and transmission I wanted and waited 5 days. It had 61 miles on it. I decided to wait and picked up my baby the day after it arrived at the dealership with 4 miles on it when I took delivery.

Totally, worth the wait time.

I had this discussion with a friend on mine back in the day. He was putting a Top Secret widebody kit on his supra and was going to paint the car the stock color.

I just couldn't understand paying to repaint a car a color that comes that way from the factory. Seems like such a waste.

If you are going to repaint, paint it a color that only your car will have. That is until someone copies you.
