Except that the Ferrari is 700 lb. heavier than the BRZ!

Quite overweight, indeed :(

She wears that 700lb oh so well though

Almost makes the BRZ look plain :brokenheart: i'd love to see lightening red

The 2012 458 is only 3042lb according to the Ferrari website.

http://www.ferrari.com/english/gt_sp...58-italia.aspx

BTW, I think most tifosi would be fans of the FR-S/brz as well.

Now if only Alonso can hold on to his championship lead.

SkAsphalt 08-15-2012 01:43 PM

Yeah...that car makes ours look a little fat somehow haha

Hanzo 08-15-2012 01:46 PM

This photo is shot with a wide angle lens so the BRZ looks bigger. In person they are not that different in size.

The one thing BRZ has over the Ferrari is it has a manual trans. :-)

The Ferrari website lies. The car is much MUCH heavier than that. Road & Track's example weighed in at 3490 lb, 20 lb. *heavier* than the awd Gallardo they were testing it against:

Maybe so but that is a 2010 not a 2012 model.

I dunno about less attractive, slightly overweight...

Perhaps a better analogy would be the Ferrari being a Super Model and the BRZ just happens to be someone like a Felicia Day, a Danica McKellar, or a Mila Kunis - a seemingly down to earth approachable gal who you can have fun with and still think the world of, rather than a high maintenance sophisticated woman who you have to constantly worry about.

Something like that anyway... What the hell do I know, I don't have a Ferrari nor do I hang out with Super Models.

458 is just too sexy. Dream car with the Aventador.

They didn't lose over 400 lb. between 2010 and 2012.

Fact is, Ferrari lies about the curb weights of their cars.

Regarding BRZ vs. 458, the BRZ is taller, thinner, and *much* lighter-weight :D

458 is a more curvaceous and, dare I say, Rubenesque...

:laughabove:

I thought the same thing too.

But against 99% of the other cars on the road, the BRZ (kinda) looks like an exotic car, so I'd be willing to take those odds. :)

458 is just exquisite. That's how James May would describe it.

 Couldn't have said it better!
