This center exit is really cool don’t get me wrong , but for 800 bucks I’d Rather spend the extra 190 and buy a Tomei 80R and save weight and also have a TI exhaust system. I mean you can get this type of single exit fabbed up by a shop for way cheaper to be honest .

Does anyone have any idea why they are replacing the resonator as well?

and yes, correct installation is always important |
Weird that the heat sink is on top of the exhaust tip.
Wouldn’t it have a better chance of cooling if it was below? |

Nah that’s true. My bad. Wasn’t trying to play any game. I tend to read things pretty literally so when you said “why would someone make something that they know melts the bumper” (or something along those lines) I felt the need to point out that companies make products all the time that aren’t necessarily optimized for our cars. @Ultramaroon has you bumper melted from you center exhaust?
|
I think the company that developed/designed his exhaust tested it extensively on track.
I'm not sure the same can be said for the FT86SF exhaust. Quote:

OK. All I said in my original post was "How does this not melt the rear bumper?"
Implying that I'm interested in the engineering or design considerations they put in to ensure that it doesn't melt the rear bumper. It's more based on surprise and curiosity that they managed to get it to not damage the rear bumper. I wasn't implying that this exhaust design is automatically 100% going to melt the rear bumper, do not pass go, do not turn off traction control in the rain. Quote:

I still think that little heatsink on top can't possibly do anything meaningful, but hey I could be wrong.

Less than a minute in, we see this typical cheap bullshit waiting to fall apart. The OEM spring and shoulder bolt are necessary parts of a functional assembly because the front pipe, being fastened to the transmission, is supposed to articulate around that spherical joint.
