iirc they're using a lot of GTR parts for it (cuz STI parts aren't strong for it). as for central def, it's custom... of course almost all D1 drift cars are all custom parts only lol

Knew about the Jupiter. There even was an article about it and the ft-86 on here.

You think? The transmission is easily strong enough for it, though the diff has probably been swapped out for an R200 or R220. Other than perhaps some aftermarket axles I don't see what else would need to be changed.

As for the conversion, all you need to do to turn an Impreza into an FR is replace the center diff. with a spool (can be found if you look hard enough) and disconnect the front drive shafts. If you feel like pulling the tranny apart, you can pull the front ring gear and differential carrier as well but it isn't strictly necessary. For longevity sake though, the rear diff should be upgraded as the R160 and R180 are pretty wimpy.

Glad some one awnsered this question. Other wise I would had said.

I am a Jowett man :)
I got remains of 3 (All needing restoration).
1 im slowly restoring at the moment.
Ive got a 1924, 1932 pick up truck that im restoring at the moment, And a 1935 sports tourer.

The Jowett Javlin was the most techniqly avanaced post war car.
powered by a 1 1/2 Litre boxer 4 with 4 speed gbox.

Also the last Jowett prototype sports car (Was to be put into production if Briggs bodys "aka Ford" made it really difficult for them to order any new car bodys and canceled the contract)
The prototypes were 1 1/2 Litre boxer 4 with 4 spd and overdrive.
Had light weight fiber glass body, well handing and was to be the cheapest 100MPH car to be produced.
Production would had started approx 1954 if the company didnt close up.
Top speed is about 116mph

No RWD.
But the JDM verson does transfer more power to the rear
I love the shape and they are a very good car.
