Axles maybe, under pressure and track days they can break. The axles I found are 600 HP ones so that kinda tells me that you don't really have to worry about them. If you look at the Crawford FR-S they built, it has 450 HP and 500 torque and all they did to the car is:
1. New mufflers
2. Built engine
3. Turbo kit
4. Clutch
That's it. I feel like after the 450 mark you'd have to worry about more things.
As for the gearbox, I haven't heard of anyone having trouble with that. Everyone just seem to get stage 2 or 3 clutch kits and call it a day but then they all have 270-350 HP cars. If you get any info on that please let me know 😅

I have read you can get the gearbox cryo treated. Might be worthwhile for you. Guess it more of luck as others are running a lot more power and torque with no issues. Bear in mind Eric's vehicle has had quite a few dyno pulls, so more abuse than the average Joe.

Keep in mind I own the 2017 Limited edition BRZ with the performance package! Subaru upgraded a bunch of things in this car including an aluminum manifold, 4.3 final drive, new valves and camshaft, new exhaust manifold, suspension, aero and chassis upgraded, etc. basically they improved the -2017 models and made it more sturdy for FI. It has 205 HP with 156 torque.
I have yet to see anyone FI a 2017 BRZ/FRS, but I'm assuming everything is a lot stronger and my car is basically brand new still. Since they changed the final drive, each gear gets more torque making them shorter so I'm afraid the extra torque in every gear is gonna cause issues. I'm gonna have to talk to my mechanic where I'm getting all this stuff installed and see what he thinks I should do with the gearbox /:

Yeah in theory it sounds very interesting. I have done a bit of research into it and it makes a lot of sense. I have looked at pricing and it has varied significantly from the very cheap to very expensive. I am also considering cryo treatment if I am looking to eventually go about 400whp

Yea, I'm definetley not going to do a block package. The reason I'm not going for the Crawford AOS is because I've heard some poor reviews on it on how oil leaks into the intake and how it's a bad design. Just search Crawford AOS review and it should be the first to pop up on this site. I've heard nothing but good about the Radium ones though. I'm definetley going to look into engine mounts after reading this thread, but I'm also wondering at what point do we need to upgrade the axles? As far as I've read, doing hard launched all the time breaks your joints, but daily driving seems fine for the stock axle and driveshaft.

I'm running the JRSC on my 17 with PP. Been about 1100 miles since going FI and I'm loving every second of it.

Yeah the Radium ones are amazing, I haven't seen anyone complain either. I just hate the fact that you have to empty them a lot, but I think I'm going with 2 Mishimoto cans if the Crawford one is causing trouble.
I was watching a video last night and the mechanic said you'd only have to upgrade them if you go drifting or track and just beating on your car launching it 24/7. If you're a normal driver like me and just race people in the streets 😂 You'll be just fine. Although there's a 600 HP axle package on the FT86 site for almost $1k if you want to be safe

Which year and model of the SC did you choose from their site? Right now the newest they have is 2016 and I emailed them about it and they said that the 2017 version is being calibrated and will be available in the near future! I have been deciding on SC and TC but finally laid my foot down on the FBM Stage 1 Premium TC
