Take a hike and realize whether AT or MT, all it is, is a personal choice, and nothing else. Not a "should be" or "better", just a choice.

tough day at work today? sheesh

LOL AUTOMATICS

Just kidding. I'm not just saying that because I don't want to get yelled at too. That really sucks for you guys. I assume Subarus will be recalling their auto BRZs as well?

Assuming so as they are made in the same factory where the same technician or robot didn't clip the interlock connector in, I don't have access to subarus "Techstream" I only have access to toyotas thats how I uploaded that document for everyone to see.

Not a big deal really, will be fixed easily, 26k vehicles and an easy fix that they can just simply apply. Very different from millions of vehicles requiring a part replacement, meaning someone has to produce and deliver millions of parts to the dealrships first.

I still dont know why this is even a problem :iono:

It's not, in fact it's an easy just plug a connector in fix, it's just because toyota did an official NHTSA sanctioned recall it means everyone has to get it at least checked.

I have keyless ignition in my AT GT86. I can take my fob out of the car while it's running. I can even go inside and wait for it to warm up.
I've never tried getting out if the car when it's in drive... I wonder if there's a failsafe for that?

If there is, then the engineers at Toyota and Subaru have clearly lost all faith in humanity.

Or at least, gained some faith in human stupidity.

I suppose that's one way to see things with an optimistic attitude.
