I won't get into much detail, but we were on a mountain run in NC when he understeered into the side of the mountain and flipped the car. It has been awhile, so I guess sharing pictures of the incident wouldn't be too disrespectful. Car only had ~600 miles on it?

Was his dad pissed?

I think it might be the opposite though. People think, oh rear wheel drive, no worries. They don't realize it's still front biased and will naturally understeer if you overcook a bend.

Most cars are designed to understeer from factory as I understand it.

Most FWD cars are yes.

Even RWD cars tend to come from the factory with front bias so they understeer before oversteer as it's deemed to be the "safer" option.

Like many on this thread, I managed to get a TRD 86 at a great price (in this case below the price of a GT!!) and they offered me way too much for my Series 10 so how could I say no?

I had the dealer remove the polarizing decals and I must say it looks way cleaner!

Couldn't be happier with the purchase. Everything just feels much more solid and planted than my 2013.

How much discounts off msrp are you guys seeing for the TRD models? Looks like some have been sitting on dealer lots for 200+ days

I just got one yesterday. I got it for $5500 off MSRP

I traded in my 2017 WRX yesterday for a TRD/SE. It has a couple of small paint blemishes from sitting on the lot for a while. I haven't read through the manual yet but, is there an engine break in period?

Keep it 4000RPM or less and don’t hold the same revs for a long time for the first 1000miles.

2013 meets 2019

I managed to recover some 2019 SE TRD parts. I'm especially very happy with the subtle deep tone of the street-legal exhaust =)
