Has anyone removed tint by themselves before?

Mine is 6 years old now and peeling / bubbling at the top.... statting to get tired of the look and want to go fish bowl for a little bit until I decide what to get next.

Should I take tint removal to a pro?

the grey windows above look like a cool idea!

Its very easy to do. Mix a water and ammonium solution in a spray bottle. On a clear, sunny day, spray the solution on the tint and then spread a black trash bag onto the sprayed area and let it sit in the sun and soak up the heat for 10-15 minutes. After the ammonium has warmed on the tint and worked its way in, you should be able to peel the tint off in one or two large sheets.

Anyone here have to go back to get a window or two redone? I just got my car tinted with Huper Optik Ceramic 30% and my drivers side door front quarter window has a piece of sand stuck in a bubble. It's not major but it's on the drivers side and I can't stop noticing it. My passenger side rear quarter window has a bubble with a piece of lint in it, hoping it is less noticeable once all the tint bubbles disappear in the next couple of weeks.

Tint Brand: Hüper Optik Ceramic
Tint %: 30%

If you paid more than $200 you better take it back and have it absolutely perfect!

I'm thinking about getting my 13 FR-S tinted for the first time. I notice that after tint gets installed you are not supposed to lower your windows at all. My question is every time I open or close the door, the window slightly rolls down or up. Will that be an issue or is there some way to disable that feature? Thanks.

20% all around, had it done by a shop in '16, i'm pretty sure its ceramic as well. I just did the sun strip myself a few weeks ago and its ceramic. Tint is still holding up very well for going on 10 yrs old, no "purpling" or fading in any way, has a nationwide lifetime warranty to boot.

I know its been yrs since your post and no one ever replied to you, but Thats just for the first few days until the adhesive cures, the window up/down when opening the door wasn't an issue for mine. You can always let them know about that and have it sit for an extra fews hours before they , there are more cars with windows like this when opening the door, the 5th gen Camaros do it as well.
