I want to clarify this, the Concept STI was not meant for the standard production BRZ car. Subaru never had a concept for the standard BRZ debuted today, only a technology/engineering clear chassis to show the underpinnings of their creation. Toyota has had 3 if you count Scions. The recent STI concept is for the STI variant.

thanks for the info! you rock.

You know the black plastic front on the BRZ...how about swapping it out with some carbon fiber?

That will look hawt!

Looks like that's what they did to the BRZ 300 race car...

I'm really disappointed with the tail lights of the BRZ.
I wish they had kept the concept tail lights. The designs dont match the front headlights. The headlights have that horse shoe swooping led lights surrounding the projector. They should have that design in the tail lights as well...
:(

Luckily the tails look sick with a few bucks worth of paint or vinyl!

Can always replace the tail-lights later... Or at some point you end up lovin' them. Or not. Lol

Thats good, cause If the Scion is significantly cheaper, I'd get it and swap to a BRZ bumper.

So is STI really coming? I would then wiat for the STI. It will not have Turbo, but will it still have more power? At least less wait thanks to more use of CF?

How can the US version have 210 PS and EU version 200 PS? It means the engine has quite some potential. It was said to have an open ECU? So we can then all ge 210 PS or even more. This makes a 105 PS/l engne. Really nice.

Any STI parts, like he TRD, will be available before?

Can't wait for this:

Personally, the car looks awesome, frankly I'm a bit surprised at the low power output I was expecting the Subaru to have an official upper spec with about 200kw. But from what the insiders at Toyota have been saying the car is being designed to be modded. I guess they're setting up the basics and letting the individual owners determine what power the car should be putting out.
You can see the specs and new press release photos that just came out today here and here
