My thoughts as well!

This is what bugs me about Scion:

You can't have different editions within models like the Camry LE, Celica GT and GT-S, etc. But you can spend a ton of money on accessories.

Why not do the consumer a favor and make editions of the car that include some of the accessories but at a "bundled" discounted price?

Like the above car I priced out, why not make it a "deluxe" edition for less than $25,000? Absurd, I say!

Toyota is for older, scion is for young people. Didn't they promise it to be an affordable, light weight, rwd

When I bought my tC I didn't want anything added to it.. and since they all come from the factory like that I got a bone stock tC... and the dealerships can add on stuff for free if they want.. I ended up getting an upgraded radio and a few other things for free since I was a return customer at that dealership.

Yes. The FT-86 would replace my daily driver.

+1. I wonder how the features for the 3.8 Track Genesis Coupe would compare with the tC fully loaded. I'm too lazy to actually do that right now. But it still would be interesting. Even if the tC had a few more features Gen Coupe >>>>>>>>>>>> tC. :sigh:

The last release series of the previous gen tC had TRD springs, wheels, and swaybars.

Was that re-badged, Eibach springs, Enkei wheels and Suspension Techniques anti-roll bars that you could buy for less money without the TRD stickers on them?

How much extra does a Release Series cost?

IIRC RS cost same, cuz dealer cannot mark it up. That's why RS series sales pretty quickly

looked it up just now, the release series 5 was priced $2,300 over base.
Included:
18in wheels
lowering springs
sport muffler
sway bar
(I'm not listing cosmetic stuff, like red seat inserts)

Wow, I'm off for a day and you guys go bats crazy without me :(.

And what is up with that Smart roadster?

Good gas mileage is just an added bonus to a lightweight, small engined sports car :D.

PS The age demographic for Toyota is best described as dirt old. Scion is middle-aged . Young people generally don't have much money. Especially pimple faced teenagers .

About the rebading, thats totally ricer.

In the g35 community there is alot of people who rebadge to nissan skyline 350gts.

It is seen as VERY ricer. All the decals on the inside will still be wrong, and above all the steering wheel is still on the wrong side. Anyone who knows what is what will just have a laugh.

only thing worse then a rebadge is mixed emblems. For instance a USDM infiniti badge with JDM skyline letters.
