How much boost were you making over the normal amount?

Same amount of boost- 16psi. It just comes in way faster and harder when it's super cold

yup, cold ambient air makes boost quicker, and with less spool required

Finalized my tune with some Dyno pulls. Here is a link to a video of a run. In dynojet numbers put me right at 300whp and 250 wtq. Lower lines are a baseline stock brz.

I did what you're not supposed to do: Go to a dealership out of warranty.

I developed that issue where on take off and deceleration in 1st and 2nd there is a metal pinging noise. I told them to drive the car to hear it (easily reproduced) and then re-torque all of the bolts in the rear because that is what everyone on here has recommended. I wanted to eliminate that as an issue before we talk about a bad axle or CV joints or anything.

$140 later, nothing. I was at the dealer for 2.5 hours. They don't hear the sound but they claim to have re-torqued the bolts. As I pull away from the dealer, I hear the noise repeatedly. Great! Maybe it is the e-brake issue that at least one person had? Whatever it is, it is super annoying.

The best part is they told me my front brake pads are "2" and "Red" and I need new ones and I need to replace the front rotors as well...

Except that last May when I got the PS ECU replaced, they did a full inspection and marked all pads as "8" and "Green." Firestone never found an issue with pads or rotors and I've been to them a few times recently. How, in one year, did my pads lose 80% of their life? I should have said something. I only put like 5K miles in the past year. The rear pads are at 8, by the way.

Also, they brought up the "carbon deposit" on the intake manifold that they can clean for just $150!!! I found a thread on here that shows you can wipe that up with a paper towel.

Two years ago when I was at the dealer, they told me there was rust in my brake fluid and they wanted to charge $125 to flush the system. I went to Firestone and they did it for $60, and the tech said my fluid was fine. The tech used to work at Toyota and said he left because of how shitty they are.

I feel stupid for not going to an independent shop or Firestone or anywhere else, and for letting these dingbats look at my car. I honestly have zero idea if they even did anything. I'm eager to go home and check my dashcam to see if they just parked it and forgot I was there, and just drove it back into the parking bay, claiming to have done something. /rant over.

They don't call them stealerships for nothing. Make sure you give them an appropriate Google review, businesses should be punished for bad service and nothing does it better than a bad Google review.

Refilled the coolant today. Got this coolant refill vacuum kit on eBay for like$30. Uses compressed air to suck the air out of the system then the vacuum pulls coolant in till full. Should completely eliminate air pockets. Also shows if you have a leak in the systemhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e11317679a.jpg

Finally slapped on a TRD sticker I had laying around for the useless center button on the TSC panel. Along with a quick wipe down.

Then cleaned off my winter mats as they were filthy. Did a one over with powerclean then hit it with some opti-seal afterwards.
..I actually peeled off a layer of salt from the driver side mat. I did not know that was possible lol.

Edit I also stuck on the FT86Club sticker. I need to go over it to seal the adhesive around the lettering.

Cleaned and re-oiled my K&N filter. The amount of dirt and leaves that came out was moderately alarming. No wonder the car’s been feeling wheezy lately (could be weather too of course, but that was A LOT of junk)

Wrapped my interior silver pieces with Avery Dennison brushed aluminum vinyl. It's not a drastic interior change but I think the brushed look is much classier than painted silverhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...fbd6b460f0.jpg

Forgot, I wrapped my radio bezel and passenger dash panel with Avery carbon fiber vinyl too

Started tearing the old bitch down... Time to build the block; why not, right? Of course since I wanted to do this on my day off, it had to be 10 degrees out. Hopefully by summer I'll have all the money saved up for it
