cool thanks!

Maybe it's just me... but I am having a hard time finding documentation on this thing. Nowhere did it say that the ecu will continue to adjust after the initial startup.

Theres no descriptions of the stock tuning files... I guessed that UEL and EL were for different headers, but what does AOC mean?

The only engine mods I have at this point is a k/n air filter and a perrin inlet tube... out of the 5 tunes that came shipped, i chose the stg1 AOC - is that correct?

Thanks for your patience if you decide to answer my noob questions :bonk:

A0C is your rom calibration. Yes stg 1 would be correct for you. Anytime your ECU is reflashed or reset it must learn, not just with the OFT. Theres youtube videos, and quite a few threads you can read through about tuning, datalogging, etc. find a post by @steve99 , in his signature he has some links to tutorials and a ton of great info. Read up!

I've been on V2.06 Stg 2 EL 93 oct map for less than a week with about 30 miles, and was on the V2.01 map version for about 3-4 weeks prior. V2.01 had less throttle lag and "felt" like it produced a bit more power through 3.5 - 5K rpms, than V2.06. With the current map the lag is significant up to 3.5 - 3.7K rpms, and while power generation is smooth thereafter, it "seems" to build a bit slower than when I had V2.01 loaded.

Previously I ran V1.59 Stage 2 EL E85 and that tune rocked! But, I decided to move back to 93 oct for the winter and convenience since only one station by me carries E85.

If it helps work through this, I have a 2013 BRZ with a K&N drop-in (no other intake mods than removing and capping the sound tube) a catless EL header, and a Nameless catback (for sound and looks).

Disclosure: I've been lazy and have not captured any logs. If I need to do that for the sake of the community, I'll get off my duff and bone up on the process.

I will also comment that discussion seems to be all over the map regarding whether / if / how long the ECU needs to calibrate a new map. For those of us that only have a glimmer of tuning process and architecture it can be confusing.

Cheers.

There are no mapping changes between any of the 2.0x ROMs. So v2.01 is identical to v2.06. The increment only indicates additional ROM support as the read me file documents.

Hi,
So I recently updated my map from 1.59 to 2.0
at first it was different but now if feels great.. a few hundred kms later..
so I wanted to try out the launch control..
I came to a stop on an empty road and put the gas down, it was holding at around 5800rpm
but when I dropped the clutch it bogged right down, no wheel chirp at all, and felt really slow.. is that normal? I had trac control completely off.. and after I did it.. I could smell my clutch..

That's smell is your clutch slipping. Unless you are ready to replace it soon, I would refrain from the clutch dumps :)

ok, heres a log with the newest tune, ive never been able to realy log flkc before, so maybe ive always had this and never noticed. but theres over -1.0 flkc at top. maybe my afr is too lean? or is this small enough to not worry about. everything else seems perfect.
