Good advice!

I do have another car.. a 98 Honda Civic that I use as a daily driver. It has a ton of miles, so I wouldn't want to go a very long time with only that car, but I think a few months should be ok.

RE: the allocation fax.. I didn't get to read it all word for word, but the salesperson showed me a few sections.. I read the part where it said they were keeping it rare and desirable and would have small allocations and because of this they would not be offering the VIP in order to help maximize profits.

I didn't see any info about other incentives.. I wouldn't expect much.. maybe a 3.9% financing deal.. but that really isn't a deal.. that's pretty much an average going rate for a car loan..

You can easily get <2.0% from a credit union, so not sure why you would go through a dealer.

I know Penfed credit union has 1.9% for up to 48 months. 2.49 for 60 months.

I'll most likely go that route.

^ Wise choice. That is what my wife and I did on a recent auto purchase. If the dealer was willing to match, then I say why not. But no need to lose more money on the loan.

Does anyone know if the Subaru VIP Program works in Canada?

Any word on if Subaru will be honoring the college graduate program?

I would very surprised if they didn't honor the college grad program. It's not really a great program.. Many other manufacturers actually give a financial benefit in the form of a rebate.. But Subaru simply makes it easier for college grads with a lack of credit history to obtain financing. I think they have lower credit score requirements and may give a month or two of delay in the first payment..

I would be pretty confident that they will honor it.

Now that we have a thread with invoice pricing has anyone been able to convince a dealer to honor VIP pricing or close to invoice?

Most dealers would accept, however SOA is the one doling out the cash and from what I recall, they all say no.

Judging from the invoice thread, once VIP pricing opens up from SOA we should be able to pick up a BRZ manual limited for around the same price as MSRP + destination for the BRZ manual premium. To me that's worth the wait
