Did you buy a black BRZ badge, or is that plasti dip?

Routing USB extender cables from the center console cupholders to the glove box
 

I ran some USB extender cables from the center console cupholders to the glove box.
The first image shows the cable plugged into the console's USB box. You can pry the black cover off the USB box to install it back into the cupholder area.
The next few images show the cable running back to the glove box, and making its way into the glove box.

Edit 1/21/2022: I had high hopes for this fix but it is not working very well. The head unit keeps disconnecting from the phone with the long USB extender cables. I have modified this fix by using a 6-foot phone charger cable routing it directly down and out to the side of the console. For now, I am running the cable around the back of the driver's seat and putting my phone in the door handle pocket. At least this way Apple CarPlay will stay connected, and I also kept walking away from my car leaving my phone in the glove box. It was out of sight and out of mind I guess.

That's awesome. I'll probably do something similar once dragoontwo shows us how he does the cup holder. How long were those extensions? Not sure if I'd want it in the glovebox, or just rerouted outside somewhere. I think I'd still like to keep my phone easily reachable for whatever reason just in case.


Couple questions, where'd you get the B&W badges? Also, what's the point of the license plate holder in that position... is it functional somehow or simply preference for aesthetics? Not sure i've seen something like that before. :)

The USB cables are around 6 feet or 2 meters long. I too am rethinking my phone placement. I drove to town today and did need to get it out of the glove box once. Maybe, I will get a dash phone holder for it. Maybe on that stick to the front windshield. What were you thinking of doing? I need ideas.
