Could be a connection issue, but as previously mentioned, swap the ballasts and see if it follows. If it does, contact TRS and have then send you a new ballast.

I got a question,

Now I didn't go the root of getting new projectors, instead I'm just using the stock projectors and running the TRS HID H11 kit. I also got one of the relay harnesses that has ground at both ends, neither of which could reach the battery, but I'm wondering where to bolt them to the car to get a good ground effect.

Does anyone have any pictures of where they grounded their kit in the engine bay? I realize I could use any hole in the metal work but then I will have to go find some self tightening bolts to seal that connection, and I'm looking to re use some already stock bolts if possible.

Any help is great!

The bolt holding the horn works great.

Has anyone had this problem or know what it could be. @Yruyur came by to check out the lights and help level them. As soon as he pulled up we noticed my weak output. Also the glare above my cutoff is terrible.he has 6000k and i have 4300k but still my halogen bulbs were brighter. Please help

Improperly seated bulbs is my first guess.

Second would be bad bulbs.

Then, ballasts.

Yea i think tomorrow ill check to make sure the bulbs havent shifted.

Just re grounded them and checked the bulbs everything is still the same. i really dont want to bake these headlights again.

Can he get another brand bulb from a local place and try those?

I would think the power ouput issue would more likely be a single point of failure instead of two things. Meaning it has to be a single wire that attaches both, a single fuse that attaches both instead of both bulbs or both ballast being defective. Hmmm

I don't think it's bad power only because of the glare. You're 100% positive the bulbs are seated properly?

If they are, shoot TRS an email with a picture and see what they say. Hopefully they can send you new bulbs overnight or something.

@Yruyur - since you're near @FR-Shadow, do you think you can take one of your bulbs out and put it in his headlight? That would help narrow down possible causes.

As far as local replacement bulbs, I've never this seen style of bulb for sale in a brick and mortar store.

I can try one of my bulbs. Just as long as it doesnt kill mine ;)

We do have some ricer places around here that sell bulbs and drop in kits.

Then they probably would have the correct bulb in stock. I'd still try one of your bulbs before spending on the money on them, just in case (if its possible to).

FR-Shadow 07-27-2013 12:49 PM

Ill pop off the back cover and post a pic of the bulb. Bad thing is those clips are not easy when the headlight is off the car. I cant imagine working with that clip with the headlight on lol.
