SO
I cut a hole in my console, filled it with spray foam then cut the foam out. Painted the inside black, and now have a custom inhaler holder.

Great way to put that blank to use.

Grill delete. I'm not sure if I want it to be permanent, so for now I just painted the tabs black to blend them with the black (I painted the inside of the grill, but left the radiator plain) background.

If I like it, I'll chop and grind the tabs down.

hmmmm.......to the casual observer, I don't think the difference wouldn't be that much...??

Ohhhh ...... but what if you should happen to pick up some road debris ...??

What is that red thing hiding in your grill ....??

That's the horn.

I'm not worried about road debris. Anything big enough to break the radiator would have been plenty big enough to smash through the grill anyway. It came out surprisingly easy.

It makes a big difference in how the front end looks. It gives the front end some depth.

I'd be more worried about bouncing rocks bending fins and causing pin hole leaks.

Was not today, but I got Winjet Headlights installed a week or two ago. Happy with that, however the mechanic put a dent in my bumper, passenger side. Talked to the garage next day as I did not notice it the day of and payed cash. I was expecting to be blown off, but decided to test my luck as the owner is a friend of a friend. The fender also got chipped paint right around the edge of the bumper, with paint bubbling out. They "took responsibility" for the bumper, but not the fender because it has surface rust, which means "It was clearly there before" even though it was raining heavy for all the days before, during and after the event.

They offered to replace my bumper, but body shop owner said "We could get a new one and repaint it, but it will be very hard to match" (Pearl White) So he put touch up paint and the results were satisfactory. Now, bumper was also misaligned, so they fixed that and clips on the side reflectors broke so they told me they would order new clips and fix it. It's been a week and a half so I messaged them on their FB page to get an update. (They usually respond within an hour or two) I did not get an reply. I will have to call, but I don't think they want my business anymore and I got to DIY fix some rust spots on my fender now.

Not sure what to do, I'm not one to shame them publicly but I definitely will not recommend them anymore. They did a few things on my car always had good service, but the way they're acting now bothers me. Now I need to find a new shop. :iono: I will post pics of the damage tonight as well as the lights. Can I get a hug?:cry:

@Yousend I noticed hidden problems when I just took off my grill. I had the bumper replaced a couple weeks ago and found today that the styrofoam insert in front of the crash bar is missing. Others have reported sagging issues with bumpers after removing it themselves, so I have to rig up a spacer for that area. Lazy and careless mechanics suck.

My main issue is that:
1) The mechanic didn't notice or mention that there was prior damage to the paint in an area where he's clearly working on.

2) They do not reply to my message, when FB was the preferred method of communication before this event. Now I have to call just to get an update on a clip for my side reflectors, which they agreed to replace.

The owner is a really great mechanic and I trust him, however his employee clearly did bad work and that is changing my perspective on this shop since I don't think I should have to demand for a particular mechanic to get a good service.

HELIX CONVEX MIRRORS

installed helix convex mirrors from ft-86 speed Factory. very easy to install, took 10 minutes. took more time to clean finger prints than install.

really great wide blind spot mirrors. may take off my outboard blind spot mirror. they work.

There is supposed to be an intercooler, not cavity, after a grill delete ;)
