More work on my Alt/Comp cover...
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...plate%20f1.jpg I also started researching how to go about making Door Strap Pulls today. I found some good info on the net. I have two ideas that I'm debating. If I'm successful, expect a write-up sometime in the future. Since I received some parts today, I now have some straight forward installs and some fabrication heavy installs...I wish I had more time! __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram @zeal.eightsix |

It is still a work in progress... just a preliminary template.... there will be many tweaks to my cover. __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram @zeal.eightsix |

Here are godSnow pulleys installed.
Stock Pulley set up weights 6.25 lbs http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...pscjayxesj.jpg New pulleys weight 1.3lbs http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...psnjhveqsv.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...psllofsvg8.jpg To get the old pulleys off I kept the belt on first to get the bolts on the Alt, And Water loosened. I did not need air ratchet on the Alt bolt using this method. I need my trusty 4ft Iron Pipe over my breaker to get the Crank loose. Pulled so much I got the wheels to move slightly then it finally broke http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...psfmaubb7e.jpg Forgot to take pic with air intake out of the way. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...psdt0m2n0t.jpg Great way to save nearly 5lbs reciprocating mass. And I don't see the need to spend any more on namebrand pulleys. Overrall quality was very good some slight nicks on the outer edges counted maybe 5 between the 3 pulleys, everything on the belt drive areas where smooth. |
My day is not over just installed these Perrin Control Arm Braces got them on the Perrin Garage Sale on ebay $35. Otherwise I wouldn't spend big money on something like this.
Perrin 10.3 oz http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...psr0u28qbn.jpg Stock 15.2 oz http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...pskhrkcr2q.jpg Simply jack up front. Unbolt old ones, Slide on new ones, Red Threadlock, bolt to spec http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...psusx9w67z.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...ps3nzyzxqn.jpg Don't know if they will do much but seem more robust and 5oz lighter at the same time. |

Did not do this for the car or with it in mind, but picked up a watch and came to realize when I cracked it open that it actually matches the car's interior theme pretty well.
Faux CF, red stitching, etc. :happyanim: |

Got annoyed at how prominent the torque dip has been feeling recently. Can't figure out what it is. Increased familiarity and awareness for the car? Dirty air filter from all the pollen? Warmer weather? AC was on? Anyone ever noticed that? Been driving it 8K and it's never been this obvious. It almost feels like the car is being held back by TCS, although I'm in track mode.
