If you enable the gear display the ECU will compute what gear you are in via a lookup table matching engine rpm with wheel speed. When you change the differential gear ratio the lookup table is wrong...

When I am in gears 4-6 the indicated gear is off by one

4th shows as 3rd
5th shows as 4th
6th shows as 5th

Thats dangerous

I don't use the indicator so I guess if it's a problem, just turn it off

Only for someone not familiar with the car who also relies on the display more than the physical orientation of the shifter...which is a personal problem at that point.

That was my solution! I may look into editing the lookup table some day - just because it would be fun.

No danger whatsoever as far as I am concerned. Purely cosmetic, and I have never had a manual before that showed gear on the dash - so I am perfectly happy turning the display off. Speedometer and tachometer are correct - they are what matter!!!

After a week of positive temperatures and a lot of rain, and being in storage for a few months, I had to take it out for drive. Felt great to be behind the wheel again. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...056feee643.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...428b6db6ee.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bbe9a51024.jpg

Permanent pinch weld adapters

Sourced from amazon and epoxied in place. Good contact on inside upper surface. Filled interior of adapter with construction adhesive. They won't fall off!
Outside upper gaps filled with JB Weld steel stick to prevent twisting. Touched up with black paint. One of my pinch welds was mostly collapsed (lazy shop.)

Water bottle, maybe. At nearly 5, she is a little old for a bottle. ;)
