I'm down to 3/2 on compression and 2/1 rebound fr/rr for daily driving and the ride is pretty awesome.

Still playing with settings. Min rec ride height front and back. No rubbing. I'll start playing with shock settings when it dries out a bit.

You plan on raising it up? 1-1.2 inches is what I'm seeing people drop it.

I might raise it up for events. The M3 is lower and did well enough at events, so my perspective on "too low" is skewed.

It varies from car to car, but the main thing is to make sure the control arms are at least parallel to the ground. If you go past, you run into bump steer issues. Which is kind of hard to tell without a lift.

Autocross in Lake Charles this Sunday. Ill be there!
Cenla Autocross next Sunday at NPR. Rebuilt timers and display! I will not be there.

Too far for me. How did you deal with the clearance issues with the KWs and Whitelines?

-max- 08-08-2012 10:10 PM

Mine bolted up just fine.

Mitch 08-08-2012 11:20 PM

Was there some kind of spacer between the strut and the strut mount? The metal cone on top of the spring binds against the Whiteline top mount. I put a washer in there, and now it doesn't completely bind, but still catches and pops when turning. Can't think what else to do other than try again with a different strut mount. Maybe vorhlag plates?

I have no noise at all. There is a fitted washer that goes there in the stock strut. When putting mine together, I wasn't sure if I should use it or not. Didn't feel like taking apart t
he stock strut at the time, so I didn't. But mine is as quiet as stock.
Maybe take apart you stock one and see if the washer does the trick.

Alright, I'll give it a shot. I didn't see anything about it in my install instructions, but when I looked up the Impreza instructions it said to use the stock washer. Looks like I have another project.

You can try calling them and asking, their shipping warehouse is right by clearview and airline

-max- 08-10-2012 10:58 PM

Mitch, dont bother taking apart the stock shocks, as there is no washer in there.

Yeah, I found that. It only took a few minutes to get them apart (with the right tools). I don't know what the hell is going on now.
