Glad to see these great mpg's. It's a big selling point for me considering my 70-mile drive to work everyday. And then 70 back.. Sucks for now, until I can move. 99% highway though. Figure if I can get around 30 I'd be happy. Over that is just a bonus. I'm usually pretty conservative with my commute to work. Just slap on the cruise control the whole trip.

I'm sure with that much highway, 30+ would be no problem at all. I used to hate my commute to school because it was around 70 miles round trip. However, now that I have graduated, I kinda miss the time that I was able to cruise and listen to some tunes :(

460.2 Miles and 12.1 gallons today. Being forced to run 45 mph in 6th has only 1 advantage. Unfortunately it also sucked all the fun out of that tank. BTW, that's 38.0 MPG Average over the 460 miles. The computer said 40.4 FWIW...

in los angeles area, more city than hwy im averaging 25 according to the computer.

Yeah, I feel you on that. I consider my drive to work as some peaceful time to myself. Cruise and tunes.. I don't think I'd mind cutting down the commute though. Especially after work when I just want to get home..

Here in Dallas, I commute 5 days a week in the city and get ~25-27 depending on how I drive. Add in some highway and I get about 31. Can't complain at all.

29.4mpg manual BRZ, mostly commuting on 495, so lots of traffic.

levifig 08-15-2013 04:54 PM

Mostly city (flat, low traffic), just passed 1000 miles, including some track time (heck ya), and averaging 25.8mpg. I have been driving it pretty hard though! Will calm down… eventually! :p

I was getting 38mpg for about 1/4 of tank a few weeks ago. 2 people in the car 60 degrees outside, windows up, AC off, 55-60mph. With a little more effort and patience i could have probably seen 39 or 40, but that would have been pushing it.

Visconti tune, K&N CAI, Borla header back.

I got 24.4 mpg(85% city/15% highway) on the first tank i started keeping track, but that is my first tank of being able to have some fun after the break in period. This next tank I am seeing how high the mpg I can get with mixing in a little fun here and there.
