Alright guys, let's get this BRZ social on the calendar already. How does Thursday the 24th sound? I vote Parry's Pizza in Highlands Ranch, as I know there are at least three of us very close by. Of course, if the group would prefer something farther north, I'm still in. Sup?

Mind if a FR-S joins the party?

I would be down, but I think if we are trying for a regular thing it should be central. I'm up north and work downtown, so to drive even further south is pushing it. I know a lot of guys north and central. I vote for something in the middle. More around Denver area. Or at least somehwere off a major highway like i25.

If any of you are into older cars you can watch vintage car racing for free and wander around the pits and talk to the owners.
Rocky Mountain Vintage racing: http://rmvr.com/

They have a driver's school this coming weekend at HPR so it's not as cool as a regular race weekend, but check out the schedule it's tons of fun.

I am building a 71, 4 cyl, 2.0L boxer engined vintage racecar right now.....(care to guess what was one of the distant cousins to our car?)

Denver owners?

I'll be in Denver this weekend. Well Thornton any nice twins in those parts?

Thanks for the heads up! I might come check it out with my gf, and I'd guess Porsche 914? If so, is your 2.0L carb'd or FI?

Yep 914 - carbed, full race. I'd go FI if they let us use microsquirt in competition.

There are two brothers that run microsquirts & E85 but they are in a special "exhibition class" but keep right up with the fastest.

The fastest small-bore (2.0L or under) is a 914.
Some of the bigger races have big parties, lunch rides, etc.
The Pueblo races usually have the high school drags on Friday night as a bonus.

I'm in for Thursday 24th, but I don't leave work at Centennial Airport until 5:30, so anywhere too far north will put me into rush hour I-25 traffic. Unfortunately, leaving early is not an option. I could go north more easily on a weekend.

If we're just doing a small get together on the south end of town, then Parry's would be fantastic.

Pat 04-01-2014 07:33 PM

Well right now I'm not planning on setting up a regular thing. I'm just hoping some of us can get together on the 24th. So for those that are, please chime in with preferred location. It sounds like we have two for Parry's and one for downtown/I25.

I could probably make the 24th. What time?

How's 6:15 work for everyone?

That's my part of town. And my twin is decent enough. I know of 3 others in this area too.
