I personally prefer the looks of the original concept especially the front fender and rear 1/4 panel treatment. The side vents don't look right in the rear of the FT. It looks like it is trying to mimic the GT-R a little too much.

^ Agree 100%... especially about the side vents! All over the internet they are saying how much of a rip-off the side looks of a GTR. I say bring out the original, or at least scrap the side vents. I seriously doubt that are really needed for brake cooling.

i hope that the body looks like the original (monkeybutt red) concept thing. but i'd still like to be able to fit at least 225/245 section width tires in the front, and 275s in the rear on the stock body without rolling the fenders.

:D

TRANSLATION by uplinkhack:

FT-86 Concept (09 Tokyo Motor Show display) evolution model. (Some words in between basically saying that it has changed)

TURBO installed, running on circuit via "speed control" and "high power" with joy, (it is now being) displayed. <= the translation is quite literal but i guess you guys can roughly get what it means.

Base vehicle grade? - FT-86 Concept (09 Tokyo Motor Show displayed car)
Vehicle Type - -
Vehicle Weight - -
Engine Type - Horizontally opposed
Engine capacity - 2.000L
Highest output - -
Largest torque - -
Fuel ??? installation - - <= probably the fuel consumption?
Length x width x height - 4190mm x 1780mm x 1230mm
Wheelbase - -
Seat - Sits 4 people
Drive - 2 wheel drive (rear)
Transmission - 6MT
Outside color (code)??? - majoora ??? <= what color is this?

"スライドコントロール" => not "speed control" but "slide control"
It means here "easy-control for drifting."

"ベース車グレード" => It means here "Original Car"

"水平対向エンジン" => "Flat(4) Engine"

"燃料供給装置" =>"Fuel Injection Device"

"マジョーラ" => "Maziora"
Refer here http://www.nipponpaint.co.jp/maziora/

oops i read the katakana スライド wrongly. it is indeed 'slide' and not 'speed'.

水平対向エンジン seems to literally mean horizontally opposed engine (aka Boxer) rather than simply Flat (4) engine?

Yeah, its actually blasphemy if you ask me, but meh...kinda figured Toyota would go way overboard eventually with this car.

Awfully curious that in the GT5 video it's on an awd dyno though (hint ** in the wind tunnel**) with all 4 wheels spinning.

Would you guys still get the G Sport if it's only offered in AWD? As much as I like the G Sport I do really like RWD so what if they let you have a choice much like Auto and Manual transmission I would rather get the RWD
