LOL thanks man! I may submit it for a magazine at some point but I may need to get the front repainted/wrapped before that as there's quite a bit of track "battle scarring" going on and I don't know how much magazines like showing off raggedy looking bumpers ;) But hells yes to the Greddy brethren! Hope you're enjoying your kit as much as I am!

have you not seen ths crappy Hondas with rusted hoods that make magazine covers? your car is more than adequate man. but I have 2 more weeks before I get to go home to drive my boosted frs for the first time

A BRZ doesn't exactly qualify for Honda Tuning :p

Awesome car man! I've seen your car at Willow Springs with @CSG Mike driving really *fast* :)

Fantastic build! Can you elaborate a bit on how the power delivery was on track? Did you have any issues with a sudden onset of boost/power mid-corner? Also any problems with heat? Thanks :)

So far the power delivery has been pretty smooth. I haven't had any issues mid corner so far with the boost and the lag is almost non-existant.

As for heat, there aren't any coolant or oil temp issues (both tend to normalize between 215-230 on any given track day) but the turbo does seem to exhibit some issues with heat soak. On the street the car feels much stronger when the engine is cool and on track @CSG Mike swears the car is only making a peak 220-230whp due to speed comparisons with S2k's on the straights at various tracks. But the powerband does feel stronger in the midrange through turns and his laptimes are proving it. His 1:30 at Big Willow was eye opening both for us and other S2k drivers but even on that lap, there were portions that could be cleaned up so we're hoping for something in the range of 1:28-1:29 (which would make the car very competitive in time attacks).

As of now, we've run the car at Big Willow (1:30), Streets of Willow (1:25), Buttonwillow (2:01 with traffic), Chuckwalla Valley Raceway (2:04 with traffic). Auto Club Speedway is next on the list at the 86Nation event and I would expect somewhere in the range of 1:52-1:55. (This is all with @CSG Mike driving - I'm typically 4-8 seconds slower :P) Hopefully all these times will be dropping over the next year as we get the car fine tuned both for the engine and aero.

Thanks for looking in and I'll try my best to keep you all updated on how the car is doing ;)

Imagine if we were on fresh tires...

About time!! I'll see you at Autoclub on the 23rd. My daughter will be driving my FR-S in the AutoX event, and I'll be running the track on the 24th. I'm bringing a few of my kids...they're anxious to see a real BRZ/FR-S like yours!
