epifan,

Do you already have a source to share defined map locations, and definitions? This sound exactly like how Ecuflash started out back in the day.

Also how is the XML editor setup, and how user friendly is it?

brzEdit is not "OpenSource" product. This is complete tuning suite with user-friendly interface. As I said before, Personal version, unlike the Pro version, don't have any ability to find maps, create defs and explore ECU bins as raw hex file.

That was not meant as a bad comment, I was stating that much like open source (if you get the pro kit) then one could locate and define maps themselves. Sorry if that wasn't clear. If people jump on this and share information (much like the evo community did with open source) then this could be a powerful tuning solution for the BRZ, GT86, and FR-s.

Which leads me to my next question, if new maps are defined and located will you be releasing updates to existing users?

Have you had any issues flashing BRZ/FR-Ss with your software? What happens if a reflash fails in the middle leaving me with a half flashed ECU? I have had a very bad experience with flashing my car with EcuTek, and I am just wondering if I would have the same issues with BRZEdit.

I had him update the drivers last week which should help prevent this from happening again. The earlier drivers had a few bugs in them that Mervyn@Ecutek instructed me to promptly update the drivers and tell all customers to do the same. I have 1 customer lose his license x3 from his hardware/driver issues on his laptop. No such issues as of late and hopefully King Tut is set now. The only inconvenience is getting a new license issued from your tuner thats about it.

ahh, thank you Tony. I was wondering why it was a hassle for him. But looks like you have it covered!

I tried that, and it didn't work. It isn't just my car or my cable or my laptop. Everyone that has tried to reflash my ECU has had issues including a Master tuner. The latest solution I was told was to make sure the hood is closed, close the doors, lock the car, unlock the car, open the door, close the door and then reflash. It almost sounds like flashing my ECU involves black magic of some kind, haha. That inconvenience of getting a new license issued from your tuner each time a reflash fails was a large inconvenience for me, but this is a BRZEdit thread, so I just want to know the process for partial flashes or what happens should a flash fail in the middle.

I also wanted to say thanks to Tony for helping me try to get the ECU reflashed. I was reaching out to everyone I could think of for help getting EcuTek to work.

is this system capable of doing all the good stuff?
i.e.- launch control, wot box, turning off cat codes etc?

Is this product ready today for forced induction? Can you scale the MAF and MAP sensors, or run MAP only?

Hix 02-20-2013 10:47 AM

Wrong Thread post mistake

UniQ+ is nothing to do with BRZEdit.

You can scale MAF&MAP sensors. There is no MAF-less feature yet.
