If STI I would expect red break calipers. Looks to be silver if they are even there

The sti has had black BRAKE calipers since 2008. The calipers were gold before that.

It no longer has a scoop but it's still a TMIC. The air flows from the grille through ducts on the underside of the hood. The hood bulge on the new BRZ could be the same concept?

I've seen he same routine happen every year since 2013. There's some sort of BRZ or FRS that gets shown somewhere or gets "leaked" on the Internet and then there are 30 different articles about how the upcoming MY car will be turbo and possibly carry AWD and blah blah blah.

As far as I'm concerned, until there is official word from Subaru with legitimate, specific information, I'm just going to carry on living my life and act as though this exactly what it all has been the past few years: rumors and speculation.

Next, the 487 threads of people asking if they should buy a 2015 car or wait for the BRZ sti that comes out next year will start popping up.

LucasFT86 03-31-2015 11:16 PM

The mazdaspeed3 has the same thing. No hood scoop but has TMIC.

gramicci101 03-31-2015 11:18 PM

If the twin is going to have a turbo, shouldn't it be a... twin turbo??

I'll show myself out, thanks.

Hmm, must have mistaken the radiator for an FMIC, I didn't actually look under the hood of my girlfriend's XT. But yes, Subaru might start making the scoop be a WRX thing only: neither the legacy or outback have scoops anymore either. Levorg does but we don't talk about that car stateside.

Kostamojen 03-31-2015 11:20 PM

Its a concept car.

Thats not a production bumper, spoiler, or wheels. Even the door handles look concept.

Thinking about it, my guess is that its a style concept for the re-styling of the BRZ for next years model. Subaru does this occasionally for restyle years.

Note: Anyone else see the flat tail lights?

kbye 03-31-2015 11:23 PM

Yea my guess is concept too. GT wings typically don't show up on production cars.

Or this is a very elaborate april fools prank...

LucasFT86 03-31-2015 11:27 PM

Very true, most likely concept.

zigzagz94 03-31-2015 11:29 PM

Of course it's a concept, but for what: mid cycle refresh or special model (STi)? or April Fools joke to troll all of us, lol.

dem00n 03-31-2015 11:44 PM

You guys are looking at the wrong car.
