Toyota 86 Headlights

Anyone else looking to order the headlights and put them on their FRS?

I have a Monogram edition so I'm a little hesitant to part with my headlights but the new 86 ones look so good. I also think the interior is blacked out. Can anyone confirm?

I'm thinking of ordering the Headlights, the Steering Wheel, and the Fender Garnish. What do you guys think?

This is how my car currently looks.

2 things:

1. I think the headlights you have are the best looking ones out of all of the FR-S/BRZ/86 headlights. These are the headlights that are standard on all Toyota 2013 - 2016 GT86s in Asia. Very few models you'll see on the road in America have them, percentage-wise. If you see them on a base model, they're likely Winjet ones.

2. The new headlights have LED Turn Signals built in, so the wiring might be weird, and you would have two sets of turn signals on the front unless you removed the other two and repurposed the slot with the 2017 fog light bezel, and I'm not sure if that even fits on our bumpers.

Keep your headlights.. I wouldn't get rid of them if I were you

I agree, the ones you have look a lot better than new ones IMO.

As much as I think the HIDs headlights on 2013-2016 86 models look so much better, I would go with what you think is good. I'd suggest hanging onto your OEM HIDs though, in case you end up not liking the look.

I almost actually want to suggest that you trade in your Monogram for a 2017 86 if you're really that serious about ordering 2017 parts.

Guess I'll keep the Headlights for now, at least until I can get a really good deal on the 2017 (I really like the 86 decal on it and the blacked out interior) ones so I can justify having both. Right now my priority is seeing if I can replace my steering wheel's center with the new 2017 ones. I really like how the 86 logo looks and I don't wanna be decapitated by my current Toyota badge I put over the Scion one.

Add me to the list if you end up deciding to sell. I will probably pay you more than the others too ;)

If he trades in he'll lose the dual climate AC.

I wouldn't sell them man, your stock headlights imo look a lot better than the new ones.

This is why I said "almost." I understand that there are compromises to trading in a Monogram for a 2017.

If you're talking about the airbag cover, you might want to confirm that it will fit first. Looking at pictures, it doesn't look like it will be a direct swap. I might be wrong though.
