Not sure how he determined they're stretch bolts. The repair manual marks them as non-reusable, yes, but so are the bolts holding the subframe to the car and the nuts holding those trailing arm bolts...

AFAIK the gen 2 OEM oil cooler is actually an oil warmer meant to eke out a little better emissions by warming the oil faster on cold start. The fact that it also acts as a cooler is an added benefit.
