Disconnect the lower mount from your LCA and to turn it like that. If the lower mount doesn't move then as stated above, the threads on the shock body are stripped.

If you don't mind hammering your transmission tunnel, you may as well just do the CD009 swap for the transmission. Do that and you wouldn't have to worry about it blowing up.
