Went ahead and pulled the trigger on sphericals for the trailing arm. I chose these because they are rebuildable and use off the shelf bearings.

As they say, the best camera is the one you'll use. I have a gopro but almost never look at the video because it's such a pain to sync to the data. That's truly the only selling point...
