I could be wrong on this but I think the real danger of too much oil is the oil hitting the rotating assembly causing aeration (cavitation).

2022 BRZ with 3100 miles on the odo. Easy break in with the original oil and filter changed out at 1000 miles. The UOA was done on oil that had about 1800 miles on it.
