My friend has close to the same setup I'm getting, except he is running a 57 trim and I'll be running a GT3076R dual BB setup and thus should make more power than him. My redline is increased now too. Anyhow, he had his tuned recently and he made 353whp/350wtq on a Mustang dyno @ 13lbs of boost. Motor is stock still and he has an upgraded fuel pump.

Yeah true, with 9lbs just about double the power. My last boost setting was 12lbs on a stock motor. With my new setup I plan on running 12lbs daily and probably 14lbs at the track. I'll be running 50/50 meth injection to go with it to keep the intake temps down. Once I build the motor it will be 14lbs daily and probably 20-25lbs at the track.

In terms of 9lbs and being as fast as a BMW 135i, in terms of a street race, I would pull on the 135i with just 9lbs of boost because my trap speed is 3mph faster. 3mph is a lot in racing. At the drag strip it would be a close race since it's Rwd and would get off the line better (unless the driver sucked).

Hi, thanks for sharing this information with me. From what I gathered, with your old turbo, the performance is raised to the one similar to the BMW 135i (4.7s for 0-60 and 13.3 @ 106 for 1/4 mile). That is a decent performance improvement. The stock tC is at about 161 hp (not whp). So with just 9lb of boost, you pretty much double the power output. Dos this make sense?

When I was turboed and just street racing, I took the car to the drag strip. I was on about 9lbs of boost making roughly 270-280whp. The car ran a 13.5 @ 109mph. I was lacking in grip and spun all of 1st and half of 2nd. My trap speed was good for a high 12sec run had I been on slicks. When I get my new setup, I'm shooting for high 11/low 12sec passes as my car weighs a lot less now at 2550lbs. So, looking for those times. I don't have 0-60time. tC has a good amount of low end torque which eats up 1-3 if you are pushing 320+whp, so getting a good set of tires is crucial to gettting off the line. It picks up REAL good on the top end when you are boosted.

This is the listing for all 3 classes Unlimited, Modified and Street on the RTA forum. I don't appear on here because only the top 3 finishers are posted. When you get down to the Modified FWD class, take a look at the PTuning Scion tC lap time driven by Ross Miller. They clock a 1:08.540. This was on a stock motor tC making around 350-360whp, which is what I'll be making when I get my new turbo setup. Here is the RTA 2009 Times for NSS.

Hey wasup man. I found my times and comparable times posted for NSS (Nashville Super Speedway) from when I ran Redline Time Attack. When I competed in RTA in 2009 I was running N/A so no turbo and I was on stock Scion tires and H-Tech springs. Sucky setup compared to now. Here is the PDF sheet from the Buddy Club street class. I am Travis Voorhies on the sheet with a time of 1:20.352 sec, just shy of the Miata time. Here is the PDF.

Today, on my setup currently, I clock a 1:14.710. So, you can compare my time today to those times of last year, and this is with me running N/A'ed and no boost. When I'm back on boost, I will be looking for the 1:09-1:11 time bracket.

@Dragonitti: just out of curiosity, do you have the straight line performance spec of your tC when it was turbo'ed (when you were doing street racing)? I am merely looking for numbers like 0-60 time, 1/4 mile time at what speed. Sorry if I miss it if you have posted before. And maybe the output power (250 whp?) and the car weight as well.

Furthermore, if you have time attack times against other FWD/RWD in earlier events, would you mind post some links as well? I would like to see how your tC compares with other cars (stocks or modded). Based on what you describe, it seems that your tC has gained some advantages through mod's.

    Thanks.
