Supercharged BRZ vs. Audi S4

I found great deals on both and Im deciding which one I should get
I used to have an Frs that got totaled and I absolutely loved that car. I currently have a b7 a4 and I love the comfort of the car and the power is good but it can get boring to drive.

The Audi would be a great buy for me as I'm getting a heck of a deal. But I'm so tempted to go back to the 86 platform since it drives so great. The only thing that bothers me is I get tired of how loud it gets in the cabin.
The s4 im looking at is MT so I think it would still be a fun car. And it's very easy to make more power with the s4 with just a tune.

I'm looking at a b8 s4

Thoughts?

Drive it. Two very different cars. S4's aren't too reliable or cheap to maintain. Price you pay for luxury and super sport.

Maybe it was loud because you had a muffler delete....

I'd take the S4 if I could afford to maintain it well.

Like @swarb said, they're entirely different animals. A year ago, I'd have said get the twin, but now I think the S4 would be a better buy, at least for me personally

If its a proven built engine I'd get the brz. I've read alot about folks blowing up their engines with blowers or turbos. As for noise I had a loud ass GT so it doesn't bother me.

I was looking at an s4 for a daily. Decent mpg and nice power with a tune. Probably one of the highest hp/tq v6s out there with decent mpg considering you can sqeeze out 400hp with $1000 into it

Im waiting for the new tesla to arrive in march before i decide. Curious to see how it looks

I drove my friends S5, while comfortable it was...underwhelming for the price tag. Id assume an S4 might be even more disconnected.

What not a Genesis Coupe? V6 360hp similar looks to what you have but its more luxury sport than all sport. You can get the Red Line version and its a little more sporty

True, the Genesis is NO fighter jet in the turns like an 86 though. Its a GT car, through and through. You can get a loaded 2015 Ultimate, all the bells and whistles for under $35K (saw a sticker at the stealership two weeks ago getting oil changed for $38.8K-had to laugh at that) I bet with decent credit.

Twin that's a lot of money but I buy new/used and the prices I saw weren't bad. I wouldn't pay 38k for one. That's nice new/used pricing but you can haul 4 people in it

Theres some guys claiming on the Genesis forum they got their 3.8 2015 for $30K OTD, so deals are to be had if its true.

IMO I would not touch a FI used FRS with a 10 foot poll. You have no clue what has happened like bad knock events.. etc..

Why not a stock frs then spend the rest upgrading it/making it what you want?
S4s are great... But a bit boring and not unique.
