Hello,

Figured I'd start a build thread/photo journal. This will be photo heavy so if you're into that.... woohoo.

Picked up the car second hand in South Dakota with 23,xxx miles on it. It was a nightmare of a deal that was about three months in the making due to the prior owners co-signer not releasing the documents. But fortunately it played to my advantage and by the end I had the salesman begging for the deal to wrap up. I picked it up for 4k less than what they were asking on the site.

I'll also add that I came into the BRZ after previously owning an RSX-S for about 4-5 years. It ended up getting totaled while it was for sale earlier this year. I loved that car. Made 220hp/162tq and boy do I miss the responsiveness of that throttle and the ease of shifting the tranny. There will be some pics of the RSX as well.

We'll start with the RSX





At the big MN weekend race event, Proving Grounds, with some of the other ClubRSX guys





Last time I got to really enjoy the RSX. Cruise in WI with the 8th gen civic and rsx guys.





After the F150 decided stop signs were for suckers. I ended up parting it out.





Having Both of these at once was sweet.

Less than 24 hours after singing my name and driving away I wound up on a road course. Only meant to spectate but I brought my helmet just in case. Really good time in stock form.








On to the build portion. OAKOS_automotive fitted me with a great deal on some 17x9 Bronze RPF1's and FA500's and the bank account was under full attack from there.






Couldnt believe it all fit in the car...






Decided to upgrade to radial bearings before putting the coils on



Near the same time the exhaust stuff started floating in.

CNT UEL. Was worth it at the time. Still debating turbo so I didnt want to spend too much here. Fitment was ~ok




Q300 showed up. Gotta love the effort heh, thanks UPS.







I was in a bit of a hurry to get track-ready so I ended up with just the wheels, tires and exhaust stuff installed for a while.





From here on it'll be pretty much stuff Ive done with it since having it as-is.

I ended picking up the OFT and loading up the Stg2 E85 tune. Ran a few more events, did a few cruises through WI and had some group pics with the rsx guys and a few pics the Midwest FT86 guys as well. Probably wont be in any particular order of events but Ill start with what it looks like now.












Attempt 1 after the coils went in. Not too far off but obviously too low lol. Stance for a day was kinda fun but the rubbing over bumps was not so much.








Fitment was pretty spot on if I was going for that sort of thing lol

Well thats it for now. Sorta wished I had done this earlier so I could have kept the timeline a little straighter opposed to the mess that is now my imgur.

Trying to keep busy over this long winter with a little vinyl wrapping.



Going fairly well so far.

Purchased a 5x3 sheet of 3M 1080 Satin White Pearl and after making a mistake on the head unit trim, it was just barely enough. No piece has come out completely perfect but good enough for now. If need be Ill redo what ever necessary.

Daily driver wheels wrapped and mounted. The last of full set of Rays Gramlights 57dr they had in Japan in this color/spec (Gun Blue 17x9 +35). I think he said they had 6 total left for sale anywhere. #Lucky





I was spotted outside of WEKfest this past weekend in Chicago as well heh
