Hello everyone,
Just wondering what oil you all use. I'm coming from an STi where everyone ran with Rotella T6 and with this being non turbo, definitely wouldn't be that great and way too thick for this engine. A little info... I'm using my BRZ as a DD, not tracking the car. That being said, not looking for the best performance oil, but want something that will keep it healthy and isn't gonna rob power either. Thoughts and opinions welcome! |

This has been discussed ad nauseam in the maintenance section, but I'll answer. I use Mobil 1 5W-20. Since you're in Denver you may want to go with the dealer-recommended 0W-20. If you're boosted or have an oil cooler, you may want a 0W-30.

Just go with the cheapest full-synthetic 0W-20. You won't know any difference and it works perfectly fine as long as you take care of it regularly.
I run Sustina 0W-20 because I'm tracking the car and am trying to extend intervals out to 10K. -alex |
